curious why it isn't Lough. He's been hitting the cover off the ball over the past few starts.

A week ago I posted that taking five of seven from the Twins and Reds would be a good result.

I'm greedy, though.

I know a lot of people talk about Camden Yards being a bandbox, but the majority of HR's the O's hit would be out in any MLB park.

However I do wonder at times if some of the balls that land in the first couple rows in left would be out in most other ballparks, or if they would just be cans of corn/long fly balls.  (Disclaimer:  changed what i had originally said b/c i saw a replay of Hundley's HR and it went farther than I initially thought)

Hard to remember a better home stand

They have really picked up their play at home from earlier this season.  I think their record at home in August was the best monthly record in Baltimore Orioles history.  Something like 12-3

This is a Buck quote...

'It's hard to appreciate Nick Markakis unless you see what he does every day."

It's not statistically relevant, but a HR and 2 nice defensive plays in about 6 minutes of the game's time.

That's a microcosm of this team this year.

G/D they're good. And G/D that's good to write.

The home plate umps this year are really starting to push me toward favoring some sort of technological replacement.

Seems odd to send Johnson there.  He's not fast.

Great, blow this lead to this crap team.

The bullpen stinks lately.
