because it is a mistake that cannot be corrected.

I think a 'mistake' in this case is virtually impossible.

WTH is wrong with the mother?? To have somebody like this in hers and he kid's life number one then to refuse the paramedics no. 2??

Hopefully the perp's head will get bashed in in jail once the other inmates find out what he did.

Sad story and totally preventable.

And why didn't the uncle/brother step in???

Just because you can breed doesn't make you a GOOD mother or a father....as demonstrated by those ahhhh whatevers.

"And why didn't...".....can't answer that one....being white....I have no clue....'it is a black thing ....I wouldn't understand'.

I think the pic in the UK article is a hint the kid might be black. ;)

Also I think the ahhhhhh mothers first name is also a give-away. ;)

I didn't see the mother's name.  I see a picture of the suspect and the apartment complex.

Chill MM, every thing's cool.

Wilson intentions were good.

"Assistant State's Attorney Sarah Mollett-Gaumer told Cejka during the hearing that the boy was "allegedly disciplined for stealing a piece of cake" and was left unconscious in the apartment on Tuesday for five hours until Wilson contacted 911"

All three of them are going to jail, and the 'boyfriend' will be in jail for murder. The mother and brother will get depraved indifference, is my guess.

I don't care what planet you're on, it's illegal to handcuff a child and leave the room. That's false imprisonment. He was then left defenseless for Wilson to demolish. That's depraved indifference.

For the mother, turning away EMTs while her son lay dying is depraved indifference, if not worse.

This is a sick, disgusting story.

Yet we make the fatal mistake of releasing dangerous criminals onto our streets to kill again all the time.

I know what u mean and agree that he is prolly guilty, but the mother could be lying, the brother could be lying, there are too many variables when human beings are involved. There have even been cases where a confession was beaten out of a suspect, and the suspect was later proven innocent. Keep in mind that eyewitteness testimony is the most unreliable of all evidence. But that is a subject for a different thread and I know I am in the minority on that subject.

I rest my case. As long as mistakes are made, innocent people will be killed. I just don't want them killed with my tax dollars by a government that represents me.

The countries that haven't outright banned the death penalty looks like a 'where's where' list of the worst places to vacation on the planet. We're in with bad, bad company.

Give them all the death penalty. Then the right one will be dead for sure.

Sort of the "kill them all and let God sort them out" approach.

Ahhhh to big a stroke ....even for me.

I thought all judges were liberal. :D

Here is an idea.................

I suggest that all judges that let thugs go....even if just 'on bail' be required to bring that thug to his/her home and tend that thugs needs till trial date. No letting the thug wander around...getting into trouble ...AGAIN. His/her responsibility.

Or at the very least some sort of halfway house be put right next to where they live.

And said judge would have to turn in his CCW permit and no longer have access to police escort.

Then they can see how the remaining 98% of the populace lives. Yah know sort of like here in Woodlawn MD.

BTW I would suggest this program or something similar for all the 'Poor Freddie' types that feel his pain.

I am sure all of the families of the dead people appreciate your passion to keep criminals free.

Weird how the claim of racial disparity in Death Sentences.. but the 1st guy to be exonerated here in MD by the Innonence Project was a falsely convicted white guy, Kurt Bloodsworth.. cue the 2 goofballs to comment that the project freed a ginger instead of a "brotha" 1st ... so must be racist

It's a reference to a certain racist poster on your forum who made blanket stereotypical accusations against all white people.

When called out on his racist prejudice, he responsed with a phrase ("the brand") that includes all white people in general but excludes certain individuals.
