Veritas, meet Justice Kennedy

Third choice after two rejections.  I'll give it to you, though.  Still, Schumer and Biden were both clear later when it came to any late nominations from Bush, Sr.  Maybe they had buyer's remorse.

Of course, it didn't.  Obama was not about to prosecute his anointed successor!

Ah, a conspiracy buff.  He obviously didn't  rein in Comey on the investigation since the investigation took place to the detriment of the election itself. If you have some piece of evidence that suggests Comey held back, by all means post it.

So they were marked, but not "properly?"  In what way?  They were marked SECRET, but somebody forgot to include NOFORN?  That kind of improper marking?

Comey explained that the "c" was in the body of the emails but not at the Top or in the Subject line.

Whomever sent those three emails didn't Label them correctly. So it isn't reasonable to expect that Hillary or her aides should've known they were Classified

It calls for a bit of credulity to think that classified info wasn't passing through her server since that was her main method of communication.  She was SOS for years after all and had no government email account.  That she both set up and used a private server were violations of regulations regardless of whether they led to compromises in security.  That Colin Powell did the same thing and escaped censure only means that people were lazy with him as well.

Even if you’re not a security expert, some potential dangers of keeping an insecure device in the White House probably come to mind right away. There’s a reason President Obama had to make do with a heavily modified BlackBerry for most of his time in office, and why security officials reportedly issued Trump a locked-down device when he took office. One that he apparently doesn’t always use. If Trump does use his old Android smartphone in his spare time—which recent @realDonaldTrump tweets sent from Android seems to support—he’s leaving himself exposed to all manner of unsavory outcomes…

The headlining concern around Trump using Android is that he’s likely not protected against phishing attacks or malware. All it takes is clicking on one malicious link or opening one untoward attachment—either of which can appear as though it were sent from a trusted source—to compromise the device. From there, the phone could be infected with malware that spies on the network the device is connected to, logs keystrokes, takes over the camera and microphone for surreptitious recording, and more.

The attack may not even be so direct. Many apps request permission to track a phone’s location for legitimate purposes, and a hacker could compromise one of these accounts to determine where the phone, and potentially Trump himself, is at any given time.

I've explained about a dozen or so times that the State Department uses a separate network for Classified communications

They still refer to it as Classified Cables even though today it's like Email.

Clinton had no Cables on her server. Most of her Work Related emails were Unclassified stuff

Think the beginning of the end for him was when Trump was elected and sworn on in.

Did Clinton’s emails contain classified information?

Yes. More than 2,000 of the 30,490 emails Clinton turned over to the State Department in December 2014 contained classified information, including 110 emails in 52 email chains that contained classified information at the time they were sent or received, Comey said. The FBI director said “a very small number” of the emails containing classified information “bore markings indicating the presence of classified information,” contrary to Clinton’s claims that none was marked classified.

“Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of the classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information,” Comey said.

It appears that a fair amount of stuff passed through her server even if only three were supposedly marked classified.  That also raises the question of why the others weren't marked or who removed the markings and why.

Comey scoffs at Trumpster's tape threat.

Former FBI Director James Comey is "not worried about any tapes" of conversations between him and President Donald Trump, a source familiar with the matter told CNN Friday, adding that "if there is a tape, there's nothing he is worried about" that could be on it.

Friday morning, Trump issued a thinly veiled threat to Comey, apparently suggesting there are possibly recorded conversations between the two men that could be leaked to counter the former FBI director if necessary.

You think she'd have kept Comey on board?  Why?

Veritas,

I understand what you're saying. My point is, not all work related emails for the State Department are assumed to be Classified. It may be different for the Defense Department or CIA.

The culture at the State Department is different from other agencies.

Colin Powell also used his private email primarily for work at the State Department

Is the poster who claimed the Dems are going to freak if the FBI finds nothing on Trump to indict him freaking now because they didn't find enough on Hillary to indict her?

Because this all began when Bill boarded Lynch's plane. HRC blew the roof off when she heard.  She's grown up enough to know adults have to be adults in adult situations.

They effectively handed the authority to Comey when they announced ahead of time, that they would go along with whatever he recommended regarding Hillary.

Comey was able, point by point to cite evidence of Hillary's guilt.  But dutifully then "recommended" not to prosecute.

But after nearly a year of wiretapping the Trump campaign team, no one can cite a shred of evidence that there was any colluding, nor what colluding would even look like or how that would influence the election.

You have evidence of wire tapping?

If you have the evidence, you can break the story and probably win a Pulitzer.

Do you have evidence to support your claim? One usually is required to do that to be taken credibly.

And then you have Trump who lets the Russians in the White House with surveillance devices.

Putting classified stuff on your private server is prison time.

None of the stuff was classified at the time it was put there. Except three improperly marked emails
