I was looking up the weather on Weather Underground's mobile website yesterday for 21201, and it tells me the station is at Bachstraße, Baltimore, Maryland.

Bachstraße?  (That ß symbol is a German double s).

Bach Street?

Zooming in, it appears the station is on Sharp Street south of Lee Street in Otterbein.

It seems Bachstraße has been off-line since last Thursday.

Here's a tangent for you:

German St in Baltimore was renamed Redwood St in 1918 in honor of WWI hero George Buchanan Redwood.

I heard because of anti-German sentiment following the war they wanted to change the name.  I wasn't aware of why the name Redwood Street was chosen.  Thanks.

I hear Liberty Steaks go well with Victory Cabbage and Freedom Fries.

In the strange world of renaming foods based on Geopolitical climate, the only one that seems to have stuck is frankfurters---> hotdogs.
