But it's March.

Also don't forget we switch to Daylight Saving Time this weekend. Spring forward!

The better half and I have been discussing this for days.

Is the snowfall for Friday night still on?

Nope.

Damn. And to think I'd located the perfect spot on 295 on which to abandon my vehicle.  :)

Uh oh.

MONDAY-TUESDAY. Now the fun part. Since the southern system this weekend would have been pushed SOUTH, you thought that means the Mid-Atlantic escapes, right? In reality, leftovers from that system interact with Gulf and Atlantic moisture, which starts riding back north. By Monday, a fast moving upper level disturbance is expected to "activate" that moisture and develop it into a surface Low near the Carolinas. What you get: A potentially significant coastal winter storm with some similarities to the December 19, 2009 storm. A multi-day event that would "interfere" with next week with accumulating snow starting Monday night.

My mother-in-law's knee replacement surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.  This is not good.

I'd like a big snow...if for no other reason than I wouldn't have to siphon out that tank of gas in the snowblower.

Weather Underground now has 7-12 cm (3-5").

https://www.wundergr...y=Baltimore, MD

Same amount forecast for where my son and I are going in New Jersey on Tuesday evening.

On Thursday or Friday we're supposed to head up to Vermont, where 27-42 cm (11-17") are forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Good luck with that one. The forecast for up there is even worse.

"Weather Underground now has 7-12 cm (3-5")."

That is just for Tuesday night. Another 3-5 inches on Wednesday. So more like 6-10 inches by the time it is done.

Periods of snow. Low near 30F. Winds ENE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 100%. 8 to 12 inches of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Tuesday 90% Precip. / 1-3 in

New RPM model just coming out puts Baltimore in bull's eye for 20"-24" of snow by 10:30am Tue. RPM continues on high side of various models.
