That's what I've been told, it's IMG's B team though. I figured it was more plausible that IMG was covering Dunbar's travel expenses (or a significant portion of them) then a inner-city magnet school with a 34-player roster from Cincy being able to help Mervo out with travel expenses.

That rumor is untrue. Dunbar won't be playing either one of IMG's teams.

You sure about that? As of March, Dunbar coaches were saying that game was set in stone.

I'm positive. Heard it straight from IMG's A.D. Their B team plays strictly in state.

But does that mean they aren't travelling outside the state or that they're only playing in-state teams?

IMG's B team is only playing in-state teams in Florida. IMG also flew in 15 different football head coaches from across the country to their campus in Bradenton to discuss future scheduling. Not only would this IMG but it will help all the powerhouse schools fill out their schedules

The SFA-Bishop Sullivan game will be played at UMD.

Still no word on where the SFA-IMG game will be played.

I know on Sat 19 Aug Howard along with Liberty will be at Boys Latin.  Then Friday 25 Aug Howard will host Archbishop Curley.

No problem! It's really not that much work this time of year. I've got it down to the point where it's usually takes less than an hour a week to update the schedules. It's pretty crazy that it falls to one person not involved with the MPSSAA/MIAA/WCAC or the media in any way to get the schedules together, but it's been that way for 5 years or so now.

Also, having this list of games lets me help to set up 10+ games a year for various teams. High school football is such a short season already. Being stuck with a 9-game schedule deprives the kids of 10% of their season. If I can help some teams get that 10th game it's totally worth the small amount of time it takes me to do these schedules.

What are your thoughts on the WCAC splitting into two divisions BTW?

It seemed inevitable.  I'm actually glad that they did it.  While it will be a great deal more work for the schools to schedule out of conference games it should result in a number of interesting matchups such as DM playing Franklin and Bishop Gorman this year.

Come on Drop, with six / seven teams in the WHAC and a ten game regular season schedule, there is more than enough rope for DM - Franklin or DM - Gorman games.  As Mr. Niki would say, Just Do It bro...  And do something to make those non-WHAC games to count; an impact to win or lose all games.  ;)

Cool, I saw Devin D at the UMD passing tournament and he seem to have or is recovering well, but pads will tell the tale and it may be good to see him on the 19th or 25th.

I'll be interested to see how many (if any) cross-division games there are. MIAA used to require A Conference teams to schedule 2 B Conference teams per season, that then dropped to 1 and then went away totally around 2010 or so.

With the top level of the WCAC sitting at 5 teams and the MIAA A sitting at 7 it would honestly be a perfect time to discuss a merger for football. This would be potentially the best league in the US:

DC Division

- DeMatha

- Good Counsel

- Bishop McNamara

- Gonzaga

- Saint John's

- Archbishop Spalding

Baltimore Division:

- McDonogh

- Gilman

- Loyola

- Calvert Hall

- Mount Saint Joseph

- Saint Frances

5 division games, 2 crossover games, 3 OOC games, 4 team playoff
