2017 MD HS Football Schedules

I'll be interested to see how many (if any) cross-division games there are. MIAA used to require A Conference teams to schedule 2 B Conference teams per season, that then dropped to 1 and then went away totally around 2010 or so.

With the top level of the WCAC sitting at 5 teams and the MIAA A sitting at 7 it would honestly be a perfect time to discuss a merger for football. This would be potentially the best league in the US:

DC Division

- DeMatha

- Good Counsel

- Bishop McNamara

- Gonzaga

- Saint John's

- Archbishop Spalding

Baltimore Division:

- McDonogh

- Gilman

- Loyola

- Calvert Hall

- Mount Saint Joseph

- Saint Frances

5 division games, 2 crossover games, 3 OOC games, 4 team playoff

Looks similar to a few of my tweets. It would be great.

This is no WHAC / Bush League merger but just your capricious selection of better private MD.  You merely toss aside Arch Carroll, a very long standing member of the WHAC and again treat the the Bush League B and C conferences as unwanted and unworthy cousins.  You Md privates just crack me up with this best league in US doo doo.  This proposed new "merger" will just be the DeMatha - SFA Invitational for now....and the DeMatha - ??? Invitational in the future.

Do this first, get DeMatha to play Poggi's SFA...

I see sfa first game against Imhotep is off, they need a first week opponent

Pretty much no chance of finding someone open that week this time of year, especially someone willing to play SFA.

Central Maryland Christian Home School is still looking for a game that week. Avalon and Maryland School for the Deaf might be open as well. So nobody SFA wouldn't beat by 75+.

Douglass-B and Saint James got together for a Week 4 game. Now Dunbar is the last City D1 school with an opening.

Kinda interesting (to me) Week 1 matchup as Friends is playing Gilman's JV on 8/31. Be a good measure of how bad the C Conference really is.

McD

Fairmont Hgts and Parkdale both of PGCo look like a no-brainer to me for week 1.  But that's just me I guess.

Thanks! Glad they found someone to play Week 10. Otherwise they were looking at over a month from their last scheduled game in Week 8 (10/21) to the Turkey Bowl (11/23) if they don't make the playoffs.

Bishop Mcnamara is on the recruiting shenanigans as everyone else. They have officially joined the party.  They are getting a couple of key players from DE, NJ and some from the area.

Calvert Hall's official schedule says they're playing Avalon at home on 11/3

Avalon is already scheduled to play at Saint James on 11/4

Avalon probably double booked so someone's going to be screwed out of a Week 10 game unless they plan on honoring both contracts like National Christian did a few years back.

Just a reminder that MPSSAA schedules are locked in after 3 PM next Friday. After that they can no longer add games no matter what. Schools with less than 10 games have a week to get something worked out.
