A really positive sign for the program:
Maryland Lands DeMatha Running Back Anthony McFarland
The nation's third-best all-purpose back and No. 100 player overall, McFarland becomes the highest-rated prospect in a Maryland recruiting class that will rise to No. 16 in the national rankings with his addition. The speedy 5-foot-9, 203-pound senior, who chose the Terps over Miami this week after nearly committing to the Hurricanes, is the eighth four-star recruit in the 2017 class for Maryland -- the same number of four-stars prospects it signed in the previous three classes combined.
