Dame Vera Lynn, 100th birthday

1 post in this topic

Men and women of a certain age will remember the beautiful voice of Vera Lynn during World War II as she sang the songs for a generation, The White Cliffs of Dover, Till We Meet Again, and dozens of others that brought "home" to the troops fighting the war..

Dame Vera will release a new album in March to mark her 100th birthday, the oldest artist ever to do so.

She is considered a national treasure in Britain and to some of us here on this side of The Pond as well.

God Bless You, Dame Vera, and long may you live and prosper. Thank you for all you did.
