So, you too have decided to ignore the wire tapping part of the post. Okey-Dokey.
I have seen no evidence pro or con so I can't really comment. I thnk it is ridiculous the POTUS would blast it out even if he had evidence. Give it to the FBI, let them investigate and send the result to the Justice Dept. That is the process. It was also ridiculous to have a candidate under investigation for a felony have her husband go secretly meet the AG to "talk about grandchildren. " And strangely the legal process suddenly was aborted, Instead of FBI delivering whatever they found to Justice, and the AG making the call on prosecution or no, Obama and Justice said "never mind we will just go with what the FBI recommends. Let Comey do Lynch's job." And do you suppose there was ever a conversation between Comey and the White House about what his decision would be while doing the AG's job?
Presumably, Comey is an honorable public servant that was put between a rock and a hard place. He "recommended" as a good obedient soldier, not to prosecute but I think his conscience spelled out the evidence and he listed every article needed for a slam dunk prosecution and conviction. I can only conclude his recommendation was against his will based on the subsequent evidence he disclosed and his testimony before Congress.
But if Comey is releasing statements about what the POTUS says, he is way out of line and talking above his paygrade. You didn't see admirals and generals jumping up and applauding Trump's address before Congress. And it wasn't because they were all Democrats hoping he would cut the Defense Budget. It is inappropriate to take a political position and I would put Comey in the same company.
