Call me a dreamer, but could this mark the beginning of the end for Ubaldo?

Remember last year, when Ubaldo got sent to the bullpen?  For a week?  He's like a bad penny.

He's probably just the 5th starter we need right?

Don't know much about this cat what's his story... Any good?

Tough place to make your debut, but throw em in the deep end.

So who gets canned??   Wilson or Drake???

My guess is Drake. Buck seems fond of Wilson.

After those 2 walks last night in the 9th that had Buck steaming it could be Nuno!

Do any of the demotion candidates have options left? If not, my choice would be Drake. Besides poor performance, I believe he is made somewhat redundant by the emergence of Hart, one of last year's pleasant surprises.

Wilson has options and Drake doesn't.  Both kind of stink IMO.  I'm going to say Wilson just because of the options. They don't want to seem to lose Drake.  He had a nice run at the end of last year.  But so did UJ, LOL

From your lips to God's ears.

Drake has been designated for assignment. The Orioles have designated right-hander Oliver Drake for assignment, the team announced on Thursday. The move clears a spot on the roster for 25-year-old right-hander Stefan Crichton, whose contract has been selected from Triple-A Norfolk.

The Brewers have acquired right-hander Oliver Drake from the Orioles in exchange for a player to be named later or cash, the teams announced. This is the second swap between the two teams tonight, as Milwaukee shipped recently designated right-hander Damien Magnifico to the O’s in exchange for an international bonus slot just minutes ago. The acquisition of Drake needn’t be accompanied by a 40-man roster move in Milwaukee, because the Brewers also designated right-hander David Goforth for assignment within the past hour.

Well that's one nail in the UJ DFA coffin.

Yep. If Asher can repeat even modesty close to that, UJ's annual demotion to long relief is already in sight.

Big Dan doesn't have that fortitude to release outright his highest-priced acquisition ever. Let's be serious.

How do you know ownership doesn't have something to say about that? Maybe they don't want to eat the remainder of the contract.

You better believe this will come down to Petey.  They didn't want to eat the 3 mil on Matusz's deal, so they are not going to eat the 10 or 11 mil left on UJ.  Look for DD to try and limp UJ along till late May when there is 8 or 9 mil left and then try the old bait and switch again with the 2017 comp draft pick we have.  Its number 73.  He will try to use that draft pick as a sweetner to try and dump UJ.  We'll have to take somebody else's junk though to help even up the deal.

I think it's going to be extremely difficult to find any takers. Teams will likely just wait and see if the Orioles finally do dump Ubaldo and then sign him off of waivers at the pro-rated minimum.
