Not all...but about 90%. You can thank Reagan and his deregulation policies for that. There was a time when there was a limit as to how much one company/corporation could own.

It isn't capitalism when so few control so many businesses.

I'm going to have to agree with NCBirdfan and hst2 on this one.  For example: Television, radio, internet service providers, telephone companies, etc.  Too few own too much and many own several of these categories at once.

Airlines, drug stores, health insurance, beef and chicken processing. you name it. Elizabeth Warren has an excellent speech about it. It can be accessed here.

I tend to agree.  Too much control by too few companies/organizations.  All about money and power.  Perhaps eventually the few will break up for the same reason or similar reasons they merged or acquired.  Eventually price is controlled by these few and the quality begins to deteriorate with little accountability to consumers and too little recourse ability by consumers.   I absolutely agree that media should never be allowed to be controlled by so few.  The corruption that results from it is natural and pretty much absolute.

Yes.  It is what the progressives wanted.  A ruling elite.

Concentration of power in Washington for the benefit of the wealthy and powerful.

Concentration of power in Washington benefits whoever controls it. It hasn't always been corporations and monopolies, not by a long stretch.

With around $3.5 trillion annually going through the swamp is it any wonder that it is corrupt?  Yet there are some people who think they should have more wealth and power.

No 'progressives' that I know would accept your frame.

I know why you use it, and call it dishonest.

Of course they wouldn't accept it....but, then again, most "progressives" have only a cursory relationship with reality.

Comcast tv ads are pretty cheap depending on the channel in my area 10.00 or less for a 30 second spot vs. radio at 50.00 to 100.00 per spot.
