It's about as interesting as it was when you said that Bernie's group was considering endorsing Our Revolution board member Ben Jealous about a week and a half ago.

I can feel the excitement building even more now.

Ben and the Democrats can select Willie Horton for Lt. Governor.

It'll be a landslide! :)

Since Hillary's doubtful to come to MD or endorse a candidate, having Bernie Sanders' endorsement may be the highest profile person to do that in this race.

I think the ultimate primary winner will get an Obama or two's endorsement.  ;)

If Jealous wins the primary Hogan is a lock for re-election.

Sanders endorsement and bus fare gets you bus fare.

It is far to early to make lock bets in any election where Trump is a factor.

He has no elected office experience (like Trump). He would be a puppet for the Mike's in Annapolis.

That may be true.  But that does not have anything to do with getting elected.  I tend to agree that Hogan will win.  I'm just saying that there is no way of knowing what the political landscape looks like in 2018.

Hogan has distanced himself pretty decently from Trump.  I don't think Trump will be that much of a factor.

If Trump is a factor then Maryland voters are dumber than we thought.

But given a few of the comments on this thread it looks like that may be the case for some.

Dumber than we thought that is:rolleyes:

Now that your boy Socialist Bernie is endorsing Jealous, does that make you more inclined to vote for him in the Gubernatorial primary, and if applicable, the general?

Not so sure about that... He needs to take more of a stand against specific Trump policies come  campaign time. Hogan's definitely no shoo-in, I think he's going to be swinmming against the current. People are pissed at the GOP in general and are itching to pull the lever for a dem again.  If the dem candidate appears competent (unlike AB) and is the least bit inspiring, Hogan's going to have a tough time. It may be close but...

Take it from someone who has never voted for the loser of a MD gubernatorial, and I've been eligible to vote since 1992. ;)

No.  And I won't be voting in Maryland anyway.

While they are in here, maybe Jane can look into working her magic and revitalizing the now defunct Sojourner Douglass College.

Hogan's job is to take care of the state  ... we have people who's job is go after the President's policies and speak of the behalf of the state ... they're the members of Congress.

In an ideal world, but in reality people don't vote like that...not to mention so many other republican governors standing up for the people of their state. Why do you think the GOP is having such a hard time repealing the ACA??

The GOP is the dog that never expected to catch the car. Having caught the car, they are completely clueless on how to proceed.
