Blah blah blah....that's not what you implied. Change your name to DemoSpinner, cause you sure like spinning things round and round.

W . . . T . . . actual F???  The only spinning going on in this conversation is being done by you and your buds.  Demo's point has been perfectly and consistently clear: criminals shouldn't do criminal stuff, and neither should cops.

It's a relatively simple concept, I'm not sure why you guys are having such a tough time with it:  "Police officers should not plant evidence."  What is your beef with that statement?  Your logic is ridiculous:  "But some guy somewhere in the city committed a drug murder!  So therefore police officers shouldn't be yelled at for planting evidence!"

And, yes, cops are held to higher standards than criminals.  They are held to higher standards even than normal Citizen Joes.  And rightly so, because we, as a society, have entrusted them with an enormous amount of power over us; they need to be *better* than we are so that they do not abuse that power.  And thankfully, most of them are; most of them take that obligation very seriously.

Nobody is disputing what cops should do or how high their standards should be. If you've paid any attention to my posts, you'd see that. The dispute is over the idiotic statement made by the person you're attempting to defend. And since you're going to coming to his defense, at least know what you're defending him for. Demo if you're going to call your little buddies to help you have a leg to stand on, at least have them read to catch up on the discussion.

People tend to get upset when police are held to higher standards than street criminals.

I think people do and should hold police to a higher standard. However, were things fall apart is when the court system fails and thugs are back on the street. However.... the populace in general doesn't see that.

Only mean ol cops (black and white ones) picking on the poor misunderstoood black folk.:P
