Where Is Your Safe Place To Hide Valuables

Everybody does it and we're anonymous... right?

Jewelry, hand guns, emergency cash ect...

Attic, heat vents, INSIDE wood stove, fireplace flue, basement, inside wood pile, sump pump, inside spare PVC pipes. What are some of your sneaky favorites?

Agreed Bart. I have my 2 guns secured. Other than that I don't keep much of anything of valuable in the house.

I hid mine somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. People are actively searching for it. Sadly some have paid the ultimate price on their treasure hunt.

be careful out there!

Not paranoid at all. Police protection is scarce where I'm at and when one leaves town for a few days it only makes sense. I have a "Champion" safe made here and not the cheap Chinese junk you get at the big box stores. I own ZERO jewelry, I collect my things, wife collects gold. The the safe is bolted to the floor, the sides are the weak spot on all of them. Nothing that a good cutting wheel or 3 couldn't get through. Probably best for fire protection because a half dozen thugs could rip it out and carry it away.

Your "Stack"On gun locker keeps kids out, that's about it. Zero protection against fire. I have one loaded with cheap guns and ammunition. If they're going to steal hopefully they will take the path of least resistance.

I was a physician 3 lifetimes ago, as I said shot in the am and a shot in the pm and you'll feel better.

What valuables? I have some papers inside a box (passport, birth certificate, etc.). No other valuables to speak of.

Nah, it's the Rockies. Signed, Forrest Fenn

The hunt recently claimed its third victim.

As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.

Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.

From there it’s no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.

If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.

So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak.

So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold.

I stand corrected.  Cool story.

The blogs online have been interesting to follow, but sadly 3 people have died searching for it. Some call it a hoax, but Fenn swears by it.
