SFA will face an IMG team that has beaten 2 top 10 teams in the first 2 weeks, on the road, and by 13 and 20 points, respectively. They've also seen 3 opposing quarterbacks leave the field for good in the last two weeks.

IMG opened up in Arizona, knocking off Chandler, 27-14, in the Geico ESPN Kickoff, before 7,000. Trey Sanders ('19 'Bama commit) rushed for 143 yards on 7 carries. Xavier Thomas ('18 Clemson commit), the Ascenders 5-star DE, hurried the hell out of Chandler QB Jacob Conover ('19 holds 'Bama offer), before the QB injured his shoulder while trying to get away from Thomas. Noah Cain, another 5-star ('19 offers from Ohio St, Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU, among others), rushed for 2 scores. Nolan Smith, yet another 5-star ('19 Georgia commit), led off the scoring with a blocked punt that was returned for a TD on the 4th play of the game.

Last night, the Ascenders were in San Diego, in a rematch of the wild '16 Honor Bowl with Centennial, that ended with a 50-49 Ascenders victory. Last night wasn't as wild, but it did have the Ascenders clinging to a 26-20 lead, before Sanders broke open the game like he had done a week before in Arizona. It was Sanders 89 yard run that broke open a 20-7 game in the desert. Last night, Sanders extended the Ascenders 6 point lead to 20, with 75 and 65 yard jaunts to the house. Earlier, Centennial's QB Tanner McKee ('18 offers from Alabama, Stanford, UCLA, among others) left the game after injuring his ankle, and his back-up, Ala Mikaele, was knocked out on a helmet-to-helmet hit. IMG's Calabasa California transplant Bookie Radley-Hiles ('18 Nebraska commit), who was named MVP in his personal Homecoming, picked off 2 interceptions.

IMG crushed a different looking St Frances last year, 38-0. The Ascenders have won 31 straight since losing to St Johns (DC), 35-2, in 2014.

Can't see how CHC can beat Wise. I hope they do, but not going to predict.

Mcdonogh is going to drag Bmac.

If DM only beats Franklin by 3 TD's, I would say that's a win for Franklin.

Have no idea what Prep looks like this year, saw their coaches at the GC game. Until Gilman puts in a new QB, can't predict they will win against a team I haven't seen.

If SFA beats IMG, they will be the first area team to win the MNC.

CHC players would do well not to confuse Wise with the Franklin teams they beat a couple years back. Wise is stronger across the board.

If Wise limits turnovers they should be able to comfortably control the game.

If your speaking of PL Dunbar (Baltimore), we play Potomac this weekend champ.  Pump your brakes.  If your speaking of Dunbar (DC), you would know better than me. Carry on.

Yeah, those back to back 3a State Championship Franklin teams were just terrible,

Can't take much out of the highlight. Looks like Prep has a really good RB. We know they're very well coached, should have beaten Gonzaga last year. So my money is on Prep, only because of Gilman's playcalling and QB issue.

Like I said, GC is more talented than Gonzaga. And the more I think about it, I actually think GC is a better team than Gonzaga. So Prep will be a major step down in the size and athleticism they've faced. But, my money is on Prep in this one. Until the coaches can prove they will make any sort of change at QB, or call a competent game, can't give them any credit.

Gooch

just out of curiosity, what makes you think Bishop Moore soft? My nephew plays for another 5A team down there and I was told Bishop Moore is bonafide Florida team. What's your thoughts?

i like your picks but not sure Wise is beating CHC that big.

Well Falcon I don't know if they are soft but I do know Spalding coaches wouldn't invite a top tier Florida team to Md in week two if they weren't a soft hit but we'll see I heard Kyle has a freshman QB down there throwing the ball like Montana that's a good compliment to Umbarger who I heard looked great Friday.

Now for my C Hall pick look I would live to see the Hall get the win but after seeing that QB fiasco and the kid Wooden's out they don't stand a chance

Interesting, I brought up that exact freshman QB earlier in the year, and said that Gilman was hot after him and that I heard he was the truth, you told me that he wasn't all that and don't argue with you about youth players, because it's what you do! Now that he's at Spalding, he's now Montana? Hahahaha!! Damn Gooch, can you be any more transparent?

But lets not forget YOU GA told us the current Gilman QB you are SO critical of now you many moons ago told us he was the second coming of Kasim Hill.  Come on dude, you are the very last one with creds to critique anyone about skill assessments.
