Wow. This is almost making up for that drubbing the O's took today at the hands of the Yankees.

LOL. Matt Patricia not looking too pleased at all. Maybe the Pats, even with Brady, aren't so invincible after all.

AND...it looks like a lock that the Pats will start the 2017 campaign 0-1. Whodathunkit?

And while it's a "big little" thing. The Chiefs were able to gain a first down running the ball to wind the clock down to the 2 minute warning and drive the final nail in the coffin.

Patriots offense looks pathetic

Offense scored 27 points.  Defense is what looks pathetic.  Brady looked out of sync and outplayed by Alex Smith after the first quarter, but still if you score 27 points you should win the game.

It's only week 1, but the Patriots defense looks bad...really, really bad.

They certainly look beatable, that's for sure. And one of the announcers said that they don't really have a leader in the middle of the D for the first time in a long time. And they definitely looked chaotic.

Or at least make it closer than the final score. But look at "how" it happened. Late in the fourth quarter the D picked up its intensity; it didn't go into a shell. And they pounded Brady right into his own end zone.

Well we know how this turns out

Pat 15-1 lol

Or Brady pulls an Eddie George and refuses to come off the bench to answer the bell.

And he was no little patsy wall flower. But Ray Ray knocked him into yesterday and that was all she wrote.

(I also remember some publicity thing with Ray Lewis running through a wall. That was weird.)

Over 500 yards of total offense by Kansas City. Not bad. Alex Smith looked like the second coming of Len Dawson, or at least, the New England defense made him appear as such. Those are, however, the types of performances which get lockers cleaned out in New England.

I don't know about 15-1, but we have seen this play before and it usually ends with the Patriots winning their division, getting a #1 seed, and ending up in the Super Bowl.  One loss doesn't change my belief on them, but it gives the teams that might be their top contenders, including the Chiefs, a little bit of hope.

I believe 42 points is the most the Patriots have surrendered in the Belichick era. And three of those Kansas City TD's cam on drives of three plays or less. It's kind of tough on an offense when the defense keeps giving up sixes in rapid succession. Probably explains why Belichick opted to go for it on 4th and 1 from the Kansas City 40. It was pretty evident by that point New England's defense wasn't stopping anyone, so the only other option is offense vs. offense.

When you figure that they have 5 or 6 "gimmes" every season in their own division, it means all they have to do is go .500 the other 10 games and they've got a 10 or 11 game season in the bag. Every year it's that way. It sure does tilt the scales.

And you really have to give the Chiefs credit. They were down at halftime and turned it into a near blowout. On the road. That shows character. And Smith did look very good. (They mentioned the loss of Maclin. It sure didn't seem to hurt them. It remains to be seen whether or not Maclin helps the Ravens.)

It was the first time I saw Patricia really losing his cool.

So glad the "will the Patriots go 16-0" talk is already done.

ESPN said that this morning. KC put up 40 on them a couple of years ago and it woke them up to win it all.

Now need to see how KC responds with Berry looking to be done.

Maybe the sign stealing system they planned on borrowing from the Red Sox malfunctioned?

The NE defense was pushed around in the Super Bowl. Only a couple of dumb moves by Atl. and their exhausted defense won NE that game.
