Lay off the ouuuuweee Spalding beats GC by 2 scores easy the camp warriors either aren't that good or the new coach might not know his head from his tail we'll see by I got Spalding winning easy .

Spalding over Good Counsel-not going to be a great year in Olney.

DeMatha over McDonogh- I think this could be interesting for a while.

Calvert Hall over Riverdale Baptist-close game.

SFA over DBP- not the DBP of old. SFA needs that IMG game. Their best wins may be against 3-4 loss teams if not.

Bishop Sullivan over BMac- they won't hold back after last seasons loss.

Franklin over Smyrna- Close game. Great schedule by Franklin.

Bullis over Avalon- another really good game

GPrep over Gonzaga- huge win for Prep

I'm really interested in the DM-McD game. I thought the Franklin game would have been much worse. I think if MCD moves Ellis around, they can be in this game. If they play Ellis the whole game at QB, no shot.

I think GC's Coach is a glorified youth coach. I don't think he's the guy for this team.

Yea I know Ty left the Franklin game in the 3rd quarter so I hope he's healthy. If he's 100% I'm not sure McD has the pass rush/DB situation to deal with DM's passing attack. The DM defense can't let McD in the game with those trick plays from last year. The freshman RB Bangura seems to be gaining steam, so they're ok with Miree and him back there right now. Going to need Lloyd back for SJC. Everyone was way off on them for '17. They are the highest ranked area team in most national polls. They controlled SJR and Doyle looks legit.

I see what you're saying. I have to go with those GC kids getting a little pissed off and coming out with something to prove. Spalding coming off a layoff that wasn't planned I'm thinking could be an issue.

From what I heard this weekend, your QB is fine. He will play. But hearing that Miree might be injured.

Silverbullet, I agree with you on all but one of these.  I think Gonzaga may be too much for Prep.  Should be a good game but think Gonzaga will pull this one out.  Prep didn't play particularly well against Gilman so the jury is still out on how good Prep really is.  Gonzaga comes back home from a nice win on the road with momentum.  Just my thoughts.

Yea I took a few factors into that prediction. It's a rivalry game and last year showed just how confident Prep has become against Gonzaga now. A few years ago, not so much. That and I think the Gonzaga vs Gilman game was a bit misleading. A few turnovers changed that game into a slaughter. Very similar to the SFA vs Bishop Sullivan game. Sure Gilman wasn't going to beat Gonzaga, but I feel like if that game was played again, it wouldn't end 38-0. I do think that Gonzaga is the better team. I think they win the Jesuit classic or whatever it's called 7or 8/10 times. I think Prep has a chance and went out on a limb with that one...

You should know The DayWalker doesn't start anything.  Remember, I'm the finisher.  I only repeated what 40B said or was thinking.  Did he NOT repeat City ain't Potomac.  Perhaps this vamp is faster than you all and said it before 40B could get it out of his mouth.  Perhaps 40B is a little slow.  You of all should know City fellows can be a lot slow at times. You all would make the slow Cumberland broke back mountain boys of Fort Hill and Allegany finish your sentences.  But your women, that's another story for another time over a 40oz of blood about how fast they are...  But I digress!

Anyway, the bottom line is that City ain't Potomac and 40B has been waitin' all these weeks for this Friday to stick it to meth, Ball-B, et. al..  But meth and B-Ball are The DayWalker's friends so 40B "aut not ah dun dat" so 40B is in deep dodo that will be handed out by the buckets by #7.

SB,

Would like to see Prep win, not sure they will, it would be an upset. They were up 17-0 when there QB got hurt last year and let it slip away. Game played for a great cause the Washington Jesuit Academy. Great Atmosphere for this game. On a side note, turned on Monday night football and Stefon Diggs is coming up Big. Showed great hands holding on while getting decapitated and getting his 2nd TD moments later. Looking good for a MD alum and native.

Is DeMatha's QB Lenhart hurt? Is he Playing? Is the back up anygood?. Think DeMatha wins but could be interesting for awhile. I don't see McDonogh getting blown out.

Yea Prep had a good class of seniors last season. I know a lot of them played with each other since youth league(Maplewood) when they put together a few state championships. And yes, great atmosphere at that game always. A lot of money raised for a great school(WJA).

Diggs looks great. Those cleats are heat. His little brother is really making a name for himself down at Alabama too. I think he's locked in at DB now and could be a household name next season. Wish we could of kept him in College Park.

He left the Franklin game in the 3rd quarter after a hard hit. Not sure his status this week. The back up is good, but Ty is better at this point. The back up needs more meaningful reps, IMO. I think he's a lacrosse player first, football second. The back up played the entire Avalon game.

No, not just that game. We can talk about the game like scrimmage against Smyrna, the Gilman game was a win, but had more to do with the ineptness of Gilman coaching than anything GC did. What I saw from GC in person, is a team with a ton of size and talent, and coaching that's doing a bad job using them.

They are totally using Stott wrong, against Gilman he barely touched the ball, and he's clearly their best player and one of the best in the state.

The more I thought about it, the less I'am surprised that MSJ won. I saw weak secondary play against Gilman, had Gilman coaches played the transfer QB and used him right, GC could have been gashed through the air and run by spreading them out. Gilman ran the ball up the middle, like 95% of the game, and didn't score a TD the three times they were inside of the 15. I'm sure MSJ spread destroyed them!

GC is more talented than Gonzaga and Ryken, by a lot, but unless they make serious coaching adjustments, they will lose to both.

Gooch

i have to laugh at your camp warrior comment. I know my boy isn't one of them but I know who your referring too.

i think the game is going to be a little tighter then what people think off of the fact that I'm hearing Spalding has an injury bug. We also are a little banged up but will be looking for a little get back Friday night.

I don't like the play calling this year but since when was our play calling ever exotic? I know Spalding is going to score at least 3 tds so can we muster more then that? I don't know.  They are tough. I'm going to say gc 24 Spalding 21
