Hold up GA12 (and counting); two years at CHC, one year at Dulaney, and one year at Gilman is four years.  Did the player play each of these years?  And did I hear correctly he has to sit a year before he can resume play?  What am I not getting right out of all of this reclass stuff....  Help a lost vamp!!

Yes, he did. That's why he can't play this year at Gilman.

If this is true, he would have six years in high school. He would be like 20 next year, he wouldn’t be eligible to play. Pretty sure he also intends to play two years at Gilman. Would be no point to reclass to only be able to play one year. Why not just play your last year, if you only have a year left of eligibility?

That's ridiculous if true, that's as bad as the two guys at SFA last year in football, actually worse

If he’s already played four years of sports in high school, taking off this year wouldn’t matter. You can’t play 5 years of a sport in Maryland. So, at the most, he’s only played 3 Years. So if he did go to all those schools, he at least didn’t play a year of sports. There’s no getting around this rule.

Maybe he played at a school outside of Maryland?

That could be it. But unless he’s really young for his grade, he should be hitting 20 next year and that wouldn’t be legal either.

Don't think it matters high school is high whether it be Maryland or California

No, it matters. Maryland rules only states that you can’t play more than four seasons of a sport in Maryland. Reason why David Sills was able to play at ECA. Also, I think the ninth grade kid at Gilman now, Jermaine Conyers, played Varsity basketball in the 8th grade last year at some private school. Believe it was out of state, think Delaware or PA. So he will be able to play 4 Years in Maryland.

JV games are every Thursday.  You have to talk about something in between games.

Fresh - CHC, Soph - Delaney, Junior - Delaney, Reclass Junior - Gilman (will sit out), Senior next year 2019 - Gilman (will play). Gilman recruited him due to showcases/summer league and growing to 6'5" (athletic and can shoot it). Good kid, good family (Dad was a very good D1 basketball player at Cal) just took the option open up recruiting process.

Ok, this makes sense. Have seen tape of him play, kid can ball. But heard he tore up Summer league. They would have been very good with him this year, but most of the team returns next year. So I look for them to be legit next year.

Doesn't that mean he loses a year of college eligibility due to new rules

Was just gonna post this.

Messy game. Fights after every few plays. For gilman, number 70 and 55 were the stars. 70 played both sides and had a few sacks and pancakes on offense. 55 destroyed the defensive line of CHC. For CHC, their running back was outstanding.
