DM couldn't look any worse in all phases. Coaches blew that last drive in the red zone when time expired.

What the heck is the deal with Ryken?

After taking down MSJ in week 1, they barely squeaked by St.Mary's last week.

And they're in another close one tonight at undefeated Bullis (a spectacularly beautiful campus).

Bullis got a break early on a partially blocked punt - given a short field RB McKan scored from short.

McKan again scored from short on the Bulldogs' next possession to go up 13-0.

Ryken has a Thunder and Lightning backfield - with 6'2 230 RB Bell (73 yards on 14 carries) and speedy 5'10 175 RB Wynn (78 on 9).

On a beautiful play action, Ryken QB Marks hit a wide open WR Webster from 43 to put the Knights on the board.

Fastest player in the field, by far, is Bullis WR Shaw who returned the KO 75 yards for a TD - only to have it negated by a block in the back. Ouch!

Ryken got the ball back late 2nd and barely avoided disaster. On a 4th and short, RB Bell blasted in from short - only to have that TD negated because the Ryken sideline had called timeout just before the snap.

After then picking up the first, Ryken eventually scored with just 0:34 remaining on a short TD pass to the TE.

Extra point was wide left, leaving a 13-13 tie for halftime.

Not.

From their own 11, a quick Bullis WR screen went to Shaw - and he was off to the races.

Ryken leads 15-9 in first downs and 238-203 in total yards.

20-13 Bullis at half.

Bullis WR Hersch is pretty fast too.

He went 60 on a counter to open the 3rd.

Bullis WR Shaw couldn't quite dance into the endzone from 28, so RB McKan scored his 3rd from short.

In the second half, Ryken has 1 fumble to go with 2 three-and-outs.

Bullis is a perfect 3-3 with RB McKan picking up TD #4 from 40.

Ryken WR Boyle made a beautiful over the shoulder grab - with 15 added for roughing.

Couple plays later, Boyle snagged an 18-yd TD.
