Interesting side note in this: one of the guys who won a state house seat for the first time is the news anchor boyfriend of that reporter who was murdered on air a couple years ago.

I think most smart people at this point have realized that there are drastic and horrible consequences for failing to vote for Dems.

If Republicans win, the country goes to hell in a hand basket every time, and it is only getting worse as they become more deranged and powerful.

Democrats won the county executive office in Nassau and Westchester counties in the NYC suburbs. Since 1970, Nassau has had 1 Democrat hold that office. Since 1983, Westchester has had 1 Democrat hold that office.

No two ways about it: Last night the Dems came to play and it was a rout.

Northam won but a larger margin than HRC. Polls only had him up 3-5%.  Dems will take the statehouse. Dems won a lot of races nation wide last night.

There's historic and there's HISTORIC.

Delaware County PA:

"Pushing the message that a vote for them was a vote against President Trump, Delaware County Democrats out-polled Republicans in a County Council election for the first time in history, winning both seats up for grabs in an ultra-tight race"

Yikes!

there does appear to be somewhat of an awakening taking place....the real test is the mid terms where gerrymandering has tilted the playing field....judging by the number of righties jumping ship at the moment, that might not matter in some places....

Trump wastes no time in disowning Gillespie

Do you think there was any chance the Don would take credit if Gillespie won?

My hope is the Dems don't just run against Trump. Need to keep emphasis on down ticket races and articulate their message in a more thoughtful manner.

Ok, I gotcha. ETerp doesn’t use punctuation so it’s understandable.

You're talking to a guy who doesn't use capital letters to begin sentences, but want to complain about someones punctuation ......
