Here's the average MaxPreps rating of each team in each league/region through Week 11 :

1) 47.5 MIAA-A
2) 42.9 WCAC
3) 28.3 IAC
4) 20.7 MIAA-B
5) 16.8 Howard
6) 16.1 Frederick
7) 14.2 Carroll
8) 13.0 Prince George's
9) 11.6 SMAC
10) 8.6 Montgomery
11) 8.0 Anne Arundel
12) 5.8 Western Md
13) 3.7 UCBAC
14) -4.8 Bayside
15) -5.0 Baltimore County
16) -12.9 Baltimore City
17) -13.0 MIAA-C

Told you before JMT, don’t bring FACTS into this conversation. Kills the narrative of Gilman sucking. A team in the title game, in the toughest conference in the state is hard to argue for sucking.

I actually think Gilman pushes SFA next weekend. Very interested to see who they hire this offseason. It’s been pretty quiet from the Gilman bashers today. They had to know this day was coming.

Very impressive performance. I like the underdog Gilman much better than the All Powerful Dominators of the past. This week should be a rout. They lost 50 to 0 to this dominant team. They have looked very average, even bad at times but hey they sure as heck didn't quit when it looked bad. Coming from a guy that thought Notre Dame was a lock over the U of Miami this week, why do I feel they actually have a chance? Some odd feeling says (Like dumb and dumber) so your saying there's a chance. I wouldn't bet it but just have a feeling they don't get blown out and actually have a chance. Good Luck!

The current MaxPreps line of St. Frances (-29) over Gilman came out before Sunday's games.

It will likely tighten a bit when it is updated tomorrow.

This means nothing. Every team in the MIAA that has a loss lost to a team in a conference ranked below them. Too bad they couldn't take this form to the games with them.

The fact is that this is a losing team, with a losing record, that has given up 332 points, 76 points in a game 2 weeks ago, who hasn't beaten a team with less than 4 losses. Those are the facts, Jack.

I've never seen anyone so ecstatic about going 5-6 in my life. Talk about a low bar. This is ridiculous. But, do you.

It's like college teams celebrating 6 wins to be bowl eligible.

Not surprising. MIAA-A is a better league top to bottom than the WCAC this season. BMac needs to drink some milk or something. No clue what happened to them.

If you take the top 4 teams head to head, WCAC wins that pretty easily even if you give SFA the W over SJC to move the conversation along.

SFA over SJC(still think SJC wins this)

Gonzaga over Gilman

Good Counsel over CHC

DeMatha over McD

Interesting.  Bowie, Bladensburg, Oakdale, Potomac, Liberty, Tuscarora & Urbana have the toughest public school schedules.

Those teams either did not make the playoffs or lost in the 1st round.

Let these jokers tell it Bmac schedule is really getting them prepared to play at the next level! Their rating is 18. Who do you think will win between them and HD Woodson who has a rating of 23 and their SOS is 0...?

Youre BS lol.

What you think the turnout will look like for GZ vs SJC? Will they put more folks in the stadium than the Terps?

Yea there should be a big turnout. SJC hasn’t won in, what, over two decades? Gonzaga, in 15 years? SJC thinks this is their year. Gonzaga alums want a front row seat to ruining that. 8,000 total attendance. Tailgate scene will be intense on both sides.

Random question...Will Malakai be ready to take over for Doyle next season?

SJC has a reallly good QB coach that Ive known since he was on the sidelines in lil league. As long as he is there the QB will be ready to win games. But again football is the ultimate team sport. Wins come when the team plays well.

Was just thinking about something, Gilman being in the title game is probably a bad thing for SFA. Instead of people talking about the great season they’ve had, the talk now is mostly about Gilman and their in season transformation. They’re the feel good story of the year.

It’s not going to happen, but a Gilman win would be devastating IMO to SFA.

Gilman has already won.  They are back despite the adversity.  People tried to bury them and were saying how Gilman football would never be back.

Gilman had a great second half of the season. If they win it all, they will go down as the best Gilman team ever per GA (jk). How many players do they lose to graduation and how do they look for next year?

You’re absolutely correct. No doubt, they’ve won already. And will only be better in the future.
