Shazier has been a headhunter since his college days. He tries for the big hit and this time it hurt him.

Spinal contusion (bruise). With some luck he will recover. But he certainly hazarded his career.

It is promising. It means his doctors do not believe moving him will expose him to a hazard. It suggests he will eventually recover.

From what I understand, he had surgery to stabilize his spine and his season is over.  His career may very well be over as well.  It sounds like he will recover, but his football playing days are probably over.

Sadly, as far his career, you're probably right.  Hopefully he can regain the use of his legs...thinking positive thoughts right now.
