Titans v pats .....

Titans strike first, quiet the crowd ....

Titans are a lot faster, could run super Mario a lot for an advantage ....

Just as I was thinking the Titans were showing some real grit, the Pats connect on a 50-yard TD pass.

It'd be a great story if the Titans were to somehow pull this off, but I just don't see them being able to sustain the level of play needed to beat New England.

James Harrison has played eight of 16 defensive snaps thus far for the Patriots.Ā

Spoke too soon. Lewis was actually ruled down somewhere around the 20.Ā

Brady is the goat ......

Titans came to play, didn't read the papers or look at the line.......

So far a good game to watch, better than the first one ....

The big gainer and the TD "throw" were simple little tosses off misdirection fakes.Ā  Something the Ravens seem incapable of installing in their offense.Ā  The inside shovel to the back heading for the pylon is something Collins could convert with regularity.Ā  Two completions, a bunch of yards, another TD throw for the stat book, and the ball average length of throw was probably the LOS.

Everything New England has done thus far has been play-calling, play design, and playmakers doing everything after the catch. Brady has a great stat line going and he really hasn't had to do much of anything thus far.

Jesus h Christ it's a touchdown play football......

All theses replay delays are even more painful when you're at the game .....

That's been his deal for many years. I'm not sure if he can effectively throw anything more than 10 yards. But it is effective because he receivers make the yards after the catch.

The Titans need a stop on this possession. If New England puts up another seven, things could start getting away from them.

"Rigged" is the word you're looking for. This officiating is a disgrace, not even trying to hide it.

What the hell was Tennessee doing on that fourth-down play? They're lucky they're not down by 17 right now.

Yeah, Decker gets called for an OPI that never gets called the other way... a procedure penalty changed to encroachment... the next time I hear a Pats fan whine about the league somehow being out to get them, I'm going to slap them. :)

Turned it off right after that

You're not missing much. Tennessee looks like they're having trouble with their blocking assignments in the third quarter. Mariota is getting flattened by New England's pass rush, and the Patriots aren't known for their pass rush.

This is starting to look ugly. New England's defense isn't great, but if their minus-12 regular-season point differential is any indication, the Titans aren't particularly capable of making up a three-TD deficit in a little over a quarter.

No, I was hoping they could make a game of it but looks like Vegas pegged it right with the 13' line .....

That's a blow out line in the nfl.....

The Titans became one-dimensional, which leads to the Pats pass rushers not really worrying about the run as a serious threat, makes it a lot easier to rush the passer. It's what the Ravens offense does to itself to hinder the OL's chances of dominating the LOS.

The Patriots made themselves rather one-dimensional from the get-go, but unlike the Titans, it was by design and not necessity. Tennessee's run defense is pretty stout, so New England's been attacking it mostly through the air. Brady has had 41 pass attempts in slightly less than three quarters.

Marcus Mariota was sacked more times than Gaul last night.

Part of it, though, wasn't New England's pash rush, but Mariota simply holding the ball too long. On a couple of occasions, as Tony Romo was pointing out on the broadcast, there was a receiver coming open, but Mariota wasn't throwing him the ball. In the NFL, "open" means a receiver might have half a step on the defender. Mariota seems to throw only if the intended receiver breaks completely clear.

If you didnā€™t see extreme bias by the refs in that game thereā€™s no hope for you.Ā
