Was here in AC back in Sept then in LV in Dec. Posted no Vids as I stayed in the same Flamingo GO room I've always booked since the 1st time I stayed there, That Room Tour Vid is 8yrs old now but they haven't changed those rooms. AC ain't LV but it'll do. It's an All Day Travel Ordeal going to LV. In my 50's it was OK but now it's a Pain! Figure, driving to BWI, parking in Long Term, getting the shuttle to the Terminal, going thru TSA even with Pre-Check, then getting to your Gate. Then it's Boarding and get crammed into that little seat. 4hr30min non-stop. Then deplane and go to the carousel and look for your bag. Then the shuttle to the rental car place, grab a car and drive to your hotel, park it then you get in line to check in and Finally get to your room and unwind. It's all damn day then you do the whole thing again in reverse coming home. I drove here in 3hrs flat like it was Nothing in comfort yesterday listening to a book on my car USB about Black Holes, Schwarzchild, Einstein, Feynman, Hawking and all those guys.

Bartman, you party animal! Have fun :)

Senior Party Animal?

If you have the Bucks, stay at The Borgata. Otherwise Harrah's is good if you get the Waterfront Tower or the recently remodeled Bayview Tower. The Harbor & Marina towers are just Old. If you're on a Budget, well you make do. The Golden Nugget was remodeled after they bought it when it was the Trump Marina and it's Nice but Small. On the Boardwalk, Resorts remodeled a lot and they have Margaritaville & the Land Shark Bar & Grille if you're into that. Hard Rock is remodeling the Taj Mahal next door NOW and is due to reopen this summer. The Tropicana further south has remodeled some rooms and is another place with most anything you might want. That was the 1st place I ever stayed here in AC. Caesars could use some updates now but still caters to a higher end crowd. Bally's, well personally I never liked it and have never stayed there. But that's just me.

Sorry for the Duplicate posts, blame it on the abysmal WiFi here! Ran down to the Trop this AM and played Pai Gow Poker for an hour or so and messed with a couple slots. Had lunch at Hooters there downstairs on the Boardwalk. Decided to skip Caesars & Bally's, they're owned by the same as here and I know there's nothing much different there, besides I Hate Caesars parking garage. Went straight to Resorts and didn't see much change since I was there in Sept. No Pai Gow Poker open and fooled with a couple slots then split. Drove over to Golden Nugget and played PGP for a couple hours and messed with a couple more slots now I'm back in my room at Harrah's. Actually had some decent Slot hits and didn't drop that much on PGP so I'm actually a couple hundred Ahead of what I brought. Just gonna hang around in here tonite, I don't want to drive at Night here, just being Safe. Planning to run over to the Borgata tomorrow and probably back to the Nugget again for more Pai Gow. FYI Parking at Resorts and the Nugget is Free. The Trop charged me $10 and I think it's the same at the Borgata. Had enough Fun at the Nugget I might just stay there again my next trip here. I stayed there before a couple years ago and I liked the rooms but they don't have many Dining options there. Here's my Vid from a few years ago there.

AC Wrap Up:

Went over to The Borgata this AM and fooled around on a couple of Slots then had Lunch at the Marketplace food court there. All the Asian Pit minimums are $20. That way any Commissions in the game, they don't have to fool with Quarters. Harrah's is $25 on all the Asian games. All I play is Pai Gow Poker. You can look it up. It's a Low Percentage game, just DON'T play any of the Bonus crap, that hikes the Odds way up against you. And it's Slow compared to say Blackjack & Craps and the other what some people call "Carnival Games". IE: 4 Card Poker, Let It Ride, Carribean Stud and the others like that. Sure you can play those games for less than $25 a hand but the Odds Stink and they're Fast. Remember this Equation, the Less money you put At Risk over Time the Better. You won't make a Killing at Pai Gow Poker or Pai Gow Tiles (If you take the Time to learn That!), they're Not those kinds of games. On the other hand you Won't lose your shirt if you keep your mind on it. Just Enjoy the Play. Anyway the Nugget still has PG Poker at $15 and since I've stayed there before, I'll likely make that my Base on future AC trips. And Parking there is Free!

I'm Driving home Tomorrow. I didn't even drop 1/3 of what I brought up with me!

Hands down the Best I've ever done! I still did good Today my last day here as well. I'm still in Disbelief!

My Gambling Buddy John said after our last LV jaunt in Dec he's Done. Too much of an All Day travel ordeal flying out & back for us Oldsters. In my 50's it was OK but Now in my 60's, it just wears on you. Anyway he drives to Horseshoe downtown every Friday (Call 1-800-GAMBLER) and I just won't go there. For me it was always about Getting Away to Stay & Play. I have no desire to just drive to any local Casino to play and come right back home. To me that's like getting Drunk sitting on the couch watching TV, what's the point? Since he won't Fly anymore I suggested maybe in Sept (after the Summer Rates go down) maybe he can drive up with me and he can stay at Caesars Free on his Comp and I'll stay at the Nugget. Maybe AC is coming Back! Hard Rock bought the closed Taj Mahal from Icahn and they're supposed to re-open this summer, at least that's what they're saying on their website. Another Pit Boss I was talking to said another outfit bought the Revel and that may re-open soon as well. We'll see...

Another 1st for the Bartman! It's Foggy as you know what this AM! Can hardly see the bridge over to Brigantine! I ain't drivin' in this Crap! So I called the Front Desk and asked them how much they'd charge me to stay another nite. I'm FAT on Cash. They said $78 so I said let's do it. I'll come back tomorrow. Probably should have booked the week anyway. Stuff Happens!

The Wrap Up:

So I stayed the rest of Thursday. Went over to the Nugget and played Pai Gow Poker all afternoon. $15/hand with a $200 buy in. The Gambling Gods were with me and I had few bad hands. Rolled my stack up to $350 and quit. Best day I ever had playing PGP. After Dinner just stuck around back at Harrah's and fooled around with some slots. Just blew several 20's here and there. Played the New Horse Racing game a while for kicks. Not as much Fun as the Old Sigma Derby game in LV at the MGM & Downtown but not bad. Now usually the Worst Slots to play are the big Feature slots so I avoid them. BUT finally for the heck of it I rolled a 20 into "The Simpsons" and got a Bonus round pretty quick and hit for a $140+ cash out, "Woo-Hoo!". So at the end of the night back up in the room I counted what I had in my Envelope and I Think I had another $100 in my wallet when I got up there Monday and the result was that from Monday thru Thursday nite I was down a measly $300 and change. That's ALL Expenses, Gambling, Meals and a few Souvenirs for people at home! Peanuts! The best Gambling trip I've Ever had!

The Down Side:

I made it up to AC Monday afternoon in 3hrs Flat! Coming back Friday I forgot that this was Easter weekend. Traffic came to a Complete Stop at the Del Mem Br toll plaza and I was stuck for at least 1/2 an hour there then it was rolling backups the rest of the way down 95 and the return took me 4 1/2 hours. Then i got back home when the Thunderstorms hit. Yay!
