Very misleading.

Gun shows are always on Saturdays and Sundays. Gun shows are huugggeee in Texas.

All the gun enthusiasts were at gun shows.

What is the excuse for the small crowd in Boston? It wasn't just happening in Texas.

And this is scary:

Quote

“The Second Amendment in my opinion and the opinion of many is for killing tyrants! It’s about defending this country and this people and this land against an overly aggressive government. It’s about time we start talking this way. When they say, ‘Do you need an AR-15 to kill deer?’ you say, ‘No!” he yelled.

“It’s for killing tyrants!”

When asked to name the tyrants, Kopacz said it was too long of a list. “I don’t think it would be fair to name a few, there are many of them,” he said, adding that the list included elected officials.

“There are some in office right now, there are some that have been in office. We are seeing a systemic lack of respect for the constitution as a whole.”

Advocating for the murder of people in office to "defend the country and its people". Sounds like it makes as much sense as murdering adults in an attempt to stop abortions.

The 2nd amendment has always been about defending Americans against tyranny.

So you're OK with this whacko threatening to kill elected officials?

Elected officials.

It's no different than when someone says cops should be killed for X,Y,Z reason. Not mentioning them by name, but a threat none the less and one that should be 1) taken seriously, and 2) not condoned by people who claim to be advocates.

If he didn't specify any particular person then he is speaking in general terms.

So you are OK if someone calls for cops to be killed?

Here’s an example. If a tyrant uses the state law enforcement to confiscate guns from citizens illegally, it is our duty as citizens to resist this, by any means necessary. Since there are millions of citizens with arms to defend with, the chances of that happening are nil.

But he is not calling for cops to be killed is he?  He is calling for tyrants to be killed.  I don't have a problem with that do you?

Doesn’t matter what he is OK with. There are plenty of marches calling for dead cops. And plenty cops killed. And there no real out cry, so it seems many support it.

Again, did he specify any particular "tyrants'?

Some were elected officials on a list too long to name them all.

On another thread smokey said that his rights were more important than people, so you can guess that he is ok with it. He just won't put it in so many words so that he can say "I never said that defense" like he usually does.

I would think gun owners have jobs and don't need to march around and say look at me.  I like guns and shoot them.

Won't stop people from dreaming that scenario comes true, though.

Aren't the people saying "We don't want to take your guns"  the same ones that said"  If you like your plan... you can keep your plan"?  Author unknown.
