My wife is a good grandma. All the kids love her. This one will too. She is thrilled she gets to watch them a couple days a week. My son and his girl work opposite shifts, so the baby will be with mom or dad the majority of the time, and grandma when they don’t. Getting pregnant now was a poor choice. Like Phil McGraw says, when you choose the behavior, you choose the consequences. And don’t be sorry. They made the choice. I respect their decision not to let the taxpayers pay for their mistakes. Millennials being responsible for there behavior and not blaming others. Imagine that! And your “Material things” remark  is misplaced, unless you feel rent, food, and utilities unnecessary.

Maybe it is time for single payer housing, food, and utilities.   It is unfair that you have to work two jobs to get these things.  :)

Good for them.  One question though, how can they be working opposite shifts if they are both working 2 and 3 jobs?

You're millennials being responsible is wasted on me because I'm one of the few posters here who has consistently said that most millennials act responsible.

I  babysat my grandsons 20+ years ago and now that we are both retired, my husband and I babysit our granddaughter.

Actually it is, you should be paid a decent, livable wage so that 1 40 hour a week job would provide enough for housing, food and utilities.  Families shouldn't have to suffer by both parents working 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet so that CEO's can have 3 houses and yachts.

Sure.  Let's have the oligarchy decide these things for us.   What could possibly go wrong?   After all, with the obesity problem in the US the Venezuelan diet should be a welcome change.

No one is forcing people to work for companies that don't provide the compensation they want.  If they don't like the pay, get another job that pays better.

Funny how the socialists don't complain about the salaries of those in the entertainment and sports businesses.  Selective outrage.

Funny how you like to lump everyone into a little box but hate it when the same is done to you.

Yeah, if you don't like the pay at one Walmart, go work at another one.

So many options in our "free market" oligopoly.

What brilliant insight.  I guess all the people struggling to get by never decided to get another job that pays better.  I wonder why everyone doesn't do that?

Except I didn't lump anyone into any box. Apparently I can't say the word "socialist" since that is putting people into little boxes in her world.  Its clear she doesn't even understand the concept.

My opinion based on who I call "socialists" on this board.  No "interviews" required.

Anyone left of center is a socialist in your eyes. And yeah I know you’ll say that’s not true, but your posts say otherwise.

I am left of center on various issues and I don't believe I am a socialist.

Apparently I’ve missed the posts that support that.

I don't comment on everything.  I am left of center on abortion and the death penalty for two examples.

He works full time Mon-Fri 6-3. Works part time job week ends. She works 3 part time jobs mostly in the evening. When she has to work a day shift, my wife baby sits. They are learning a hard lesson.

The time for single payer day care is now!

Just in case some people didn't get it the first time around.  :D

One job was enough when I grew up. Those days are gone forever. Greedy CEOs, ridiculous taxation, and neither is about to give up what they are getting.

No one comments on everything. I suppose it’s just a coincidence that everything you do actually post seems to be right wingerish.
