“Otto Warmbier did not die in vain”, after all Kim is “honorable”.

What a bunch of shenanigans and the blind support for a clown from his blind followers.  President Obama suggested meeting with Kim years ago and the right lost their minds.  Even then I thought it was a bad idea and I still do.  It's just funny how the right has changed their tune on this now that the clown met with him.  Nothing good will come of this except a photo opt and an even bigger ego.

Maybe the Nobel Prize...but for who?

And then again...what does this 'summit' really accomplish?  That's not so clear. Its not clear at all

How lovely, now Trumps lips are firmly planted on Kim’s butt and Putin’s butt.

There seems to be a fundamental misconception that diplomacy is a victory, not a tactic. At least with this administration.

Trump needed a win, no matter it has no meat.

Your comments continue to entertain.  You should write headlines for Fox News.

With lefties like Maher and Pelosi, the headlines write themselves. B)

The mainstream media is largely (not entirely) treating this like it’s a cross between the Yalta Conference and the royal wedding. The media – particularly cable news – allowed Donald Trump to spend the entire election shoveling excrement at the camera, and it went along with the absurd premise that his deranged antics were somehow a legitimate presidential campaign. Now they’re letting him pretend his phony “summit” with a fellow unhinged monster is some kind of historic achievement in diplomacy.

Dennis Rodman should have been the first clue that Trump and Kim have nothing going on here of any merit. Yet CNN was treating Rodman like he was a foreign dignitary and a political expert. It’s a low point in modern history.

PALMER REPORT

Such nonsense.

Look, the hard negotiations are with your enemies. Was true with Obama, true with Trump. And it's always worth the effort.  Just need to be realistic. Trump will inevitably blame his critics for not hailing this as a huge victory, oblivious to the fact the HE set unrealistic expectations.

Tiresome.

You should probably wait on that assessment until the tweeting begins.

No. I watched enough of the coverage. I have no doubt that he will ruin the moment with something crazy.

She's basing her assessment on a bunch of claptrap based on wishes instead of reality.

I'm not basing it on the claptrap being fed by the Palmer Report. But clearly you are. :)

The Nobel Peace Prize means nothing. It's just a political football. Not even sure why it is being discussed.

This whole meeting is nothing but a joke  but, if any good comes from it, we have to give credit to President Obama and former SOS Clinton for laying the groundwork and consider them both for Nobels.  :D

Trump agreed to stop joint military exercises and got absolutely nothing in return for it.

Best deal-maker ever?

Not really a big or a new concession.

But halting the annual exercises would not represent a major sacrifice for the United States, which has suspended the military drills before in an effort to lessen tensions on the peninsula. They can be restarted quickly.

Most recently the Pentagon agreed to delay planned military exercises during the Olympics, which were held in South Korea, after the North agreed to participate. The exercises were held after the Winter Games ended.

The exercises were also suspended between 1994 and 1996 in an attempt to improve conditions during diplomatic talks with North Korea. The diplomatic efforts ultimately failed and the exercises resumed.

Again what did Trump get from the meeting?

Get credit for what?

A non-binding, non-specific agreement? OK. Trump gets all the credit for that.

I don't see any merits, or demerits, in the agreement.

The best part of this is it's a big departure from the adolescent name calling and threats of war.

So far, about the same as we got when the exercises were suspended between 1994 and 1996. Nothing.  Did I suggest otherwise?

Let's give Trump credit where credit is due.

Between his unholy relationship with a horse and Putin, and his new-found love of everything Kim, combined with his total dis of the G7, Trump can be credited with setting the cause of world democracy back decades.

He has single-handedly altered America's relationship with the rest of the world.

Instead of shining a light of Democracy and Freedom, he has embraced the 'dark side' of international organized crime, and in so doing, makes a mockery of America.   Now, when third world reformers look to the USA, they see what a mess Democracy can make, and how organized and orderly the fascist regimes can be.

Trump is a true enemy of the State.

At a minimum he should have given South Korea and the US military a clue this was coming.
